COVID-19 has forced humankind off those pre-planned paths we were comfortably travelling along, nudging us on to new routes and relationships. This is, perhaps, most obvious in how we communicate, engage and interact with each other.

It’s a shift that The Gallery at VCUarts Qatar has embraced, seeing this as a chance to be more inclusive and accessible; to welcome both virtual and physical visitors to drop in, linger, and learn more about art and design in the region. The result is a bilingual website –with the inaugural issue published in May 2021– for The Gallery at VCUarts Qatar. The site is both a publishing platform and content hub, offering visitors a chance to dive deep into contemporary art and design through stimulating events and editorial content, and operating as a showcase for both local and international artists and designers.
